Trauma & PTSD Therapy for First Responders
I’m glad you’re here.
With nearly two decades of experience, I specialize in helping First Responders work through trauma, PTSD, and the intense stress that can come with the job. My approach is grounded in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, offering a supportive space to process the experiences that often go unspoken.
My work with First Responders began through an Access Crisis Intervention (ACI) program, where I became trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). That experience led me to active involvement in Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) programs throughout Southwest Missouri. Over the years, I’ve provided CIT training to various levels of law enforcement and developed a deep understanding of the unique pressures First Responders face.
In our work together, we’ll address the challenges of chronic stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, grief, and other emotional burdens that can build over time. I also incorporate evidence-based therapies like Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy to support healing at both the mental and physical levels.
As a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), I help clients explore how trauma is stored not just in the mind—but in the body, too. While the process can be intense, it often leads to lasting relief and clarity.
If you're ready to take the next step toward healing, I'm here to help.
